Christian X was born 2 pounds, 4 ounces, 14.5 inches long and 3 months premature on August 12, 1998 to Rev. Dr. K. Llewellyn and Rev. Michelle McClendon McGhee at St. John's Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.  Christian X is the only surviving child of six children.   Five of X's siblings died because of miscarriages.  Christian X is a Miracle Child!

Christian X is a multi-instrumentalist (Drum Set, Piano/Keyboards, Hammond B3 Organ, Vibes, and Hand Percussion) who is also a Composer, Arranger, Therapist, Band Leader and Session Musician who specializes in all genres of music especially Jazz, Gospel, Funk, Soul and Big Band.  Outreach Education is Christian X’s passion!

Christian X has been playing Drum Set since he was 2 years old and Piano since he was 7 years old.  He has been and/or is currently trained and mentored by the best Jazz Musicians in the World:   Willie Akins, Erin Elstner, Stefon Harris, Peter Martin, Terrell Stafford, John and Jeff Clayton, Lewis Nash, Wycliffe Gordon,  Bill Cunliffe, Jeff Hamilton, Obed Calvaire, Gregory “Hutch” Hutchinson, Mike Johnston, Jason Swagler, Adaron “Pops” Jackson, Aaron Lehde, Willem von Hombracht, Kaleb Kirby, Jimmy Greene, Michael Dease, Wynton Marsalis, Terence Blanchard, Ulysses Owens Jr.,  Kevin Gianino, Michael and Rob Silverman, Montez Coleman, Gary Hobbs, Ali Jackson, Rodrigo Villanueva-Conroy, Jerome Jennings, Matt Wilson, Justin DiCioccio, Kenny Washington, John Riley and Terri Lyne Carrington, to name a few.

Christian X has made many local, national, international bands, institutes and workshops. Some of those bands, institutes and workshops include Missouri All-State Jazz Band, Vail Jazz Workshop, Jazz Band of America, Berklee Jazz Workshop and Global Jazz Institute, Skidmore Jazz Institute, the Grammy Band and the Next Generation Jazz Orchestra.

After Touring this Summer and early  Fall (2017) with the Next Generation Jazz Orchestra concluding at the Monterey Jazz Festival, Christian X will attend Manhattan School of Music in New York City on a Full Scholarship!
